How do i fix corrupted windows xp service pack 3 files after a virus screwed them up?

Q. Several Windows XP SP3 files have been corrupted after a virus attack on my computer and need to be fixed, how do I fix them? The system is prompting me for a location of those files. What do I do from here?

A. The best option is to open your Control Panel, and then uninstall Service Pack 3. Be patient .. it may take up to 10 minutes to be removed, as it's quite a large file. Then, reboot your Computer, and then go to "Microsoft Update", and run a Custom search for updates. Windows XP Service Pack 3 should be the first update offered. Download and install it, and then reboot your Computer. As with any changes to your Computer, always create a System Restore point first, in case something goes wrong. If your Service Pack 3 won't uninstall for any reason, you could Download Service Pack 3 from the "Microsoft Downoad Center", and manually re-install it over the top of the corrupted file. That should fix your problem. Please re-post if you have any problems. Good luck !

How can i remove windows xp from my laptop and reinstall windows Me -the laptops original software?
Q. I have recently bought a used laptop that is old. The person I had bought it from had installed windows xp on it, even though it originally came with windows Me. I want to remove the windows xp because it runs slows on the laptop because it takes up more memory than the windows Me would. Also I want to remove windows xp because it is an illegal copy. So when I tried to run updates on it, windows would not install updates because the windows xp is not genuine.

A. I would suggest a full system restore replacing the Windows XP with the correct version of Windows ME. As explained from other members here, insert the system recovery disks if you have these and follow the instructions. This will completely remove all existing Windows XP profiles and will restore your laptop back to factory state after a full system restore.

It is also very likely that your laptop is not capable of working with Windows XP as a result of insufficient system resources on your laptop which is one reason why your laptop is not preforming at its optimum proficiency.

How do you stop minecraft lag on windows xp computer?
Q. I have a windows xp computer and minecraft lags so much I can't play it.

A. Minecraft might look like a game that needs almost nothing to run it. Buts its a java application and you need at least 4GB of RAM a 2.5GHz dual core Intel Processor or AMD 3.0 Dual core processor to run it but you will still get some lag. A decent graphics card helps too.
Windows XP can only support 3.6GB of RAM and you need Special RAM to get 0.6GB so get vista or 7 and that will make it run better by itself.

How to join domain in windows XP and how to do domain controller?
Q. I need to learn join domain in windows xp and also domain controller.
Is there a video link in youtube that can teach this tutorial completely?

A. Windows XP can't function as a domain controller - you need a server version of Windows - 2000, 2003 or 2008. You also need the professional version of XP to attach to it - the home version can't.
